0012 LIVING Corriere – Profondo rosso, September 2024 (IT)
Published in Living – Corriere della Sera, this feature introduces BUNKER Galleria, the exhibition space founded by BUNKER Studio in the heart of Florence. Conceived as an extension of the studio’s design practice, the gallery was created to foster dialogue between contemporary art, collectible design and architecture within a constantly evolving environment.
Housed inside a former artisan workshop, the space preserves the character of its historic architecture while embracing a bold contemporary identity. Deep red tones, raw stone walls and theatrical lighting create an immersive atmosphere that blurs the boundaries between gallery, design showroom and architectural installation.

Rather than functioning as a traditional white cube, BUNKER Galleria is designed as a flexible platform where artworks, furniture and collectible objects are carefully curated to establish meaningful relationships. Every exhibition transforms the space, encouraging visitors to experience design and contemporary art as part of a single narrative.
The publication highlights the gallery’s multidisciplinary approach, where historical design pieces coexist with contemporary works by emerging and established artists. Vintage furniture, bespoke objects and site-specific installations contribute to an environment that continuously evolves through new curatorial projects and collaborations.

Closely connected to the architectural vision of BUNKER Studio, the gallery reflects the practice’s interest in colour, materiality and spatial storytelling. Architecture becomes the framework through which artworks and design objects interact, creating immersive settings that extend beyond conventional exhibition formats.
