BUNKER STUDIO FIRENZE

0004 ELLE DECORATION – True blue, April 2021 (UK)

For this residential project, BUNKER Studio transformed a historic Tuscan farmhouse into a contemporary home that preserves the authenticity of its architecture while introducing a bold and expressive new identity. The result is a seamless dialogue between tradition and modern living.

BUNKER STUDIO FIRENZE

Published in the April 2021 issue of ELLE Decoration UK, this feature presents a private residence in Tuscany designed by BUNKER. Originally built in the eighteenth century, the house was reimagined through a contemporary approach that preserves its historical character while introducing a bold and carefully curated interior language.

Throughout the project, architecture, interiors and art are conceived as a single composition. A restrained palette of natural materials is contrasted with saturated colours, custom-designed elements and carefully selected vintage furniture, creating a sequence of spaces where each room unfolds as part of a continuous narrative.

The publication documents the relationship between the existing architecture and the new interventions, highlighting the role of light, proportion and materiality, alongside a collection of artworks and design pieces that contribute to the identity of the house. Rather than a simple renovation, the project reflects an approach in which restoration, interior design and cultural research converge to create spaces that feel both timeless and deeply personal.

Featured across multiple pages, the story offers an in-depth look at one of the studio’s early residential projects and its vision of contemporary living through architecture, design and art.
